Recipe: Sausage Wraps

Another recipe for a great side or appetizer. This is easy to make and only two items are probably something you wouldn't have on hand, but easily purchased from the grocery store. They are called Sausage Wraps. I know, pretty self-explanatory, but taste so good. I can't call this my own recipe, though, one day I may have an original in here. This, too, was given to me by a friend back home. She always made it every time she had a specialty party and it always got rave reviews, so I am sharing it now to pass on a great recipe to everyone.

Sonja Langford honey ingredients

This has five main ingredients: Can of cornbread twists, 32 smoked turkey cocktail sausages, mustard, mayonnaise, and honey. This serves 6-8 people.

Preheat oven to 375° F. Unroll the dough and separate into 16 strips. You can grease a large baking sheet or place foil over it and spray the foil for easy cleanup. Cut each dough strip into halves.Wrap one strip around each sausage and place on baking sheet. Bake until golden brown which is about 10 minutes.

Combine 1/4 cup mustard and 1/4 cup mayonnaise in a small bowl and mix well. Next, add a tablespoon of honey and stir. Place the small bowl on a serving platter and arrange the sausage wraps around the bowl and dig in.

It's that simple. You can add a small amount of shredded cheese to each sausage in the wrap before cooking or even a sliver of jalapeno for a spicy kick up.
