Life: Top Pinterest Post

There is a post on Pinterest that I posted about 22 weeks ago. I didn't think much of it terms of repinning for others. I am a daily "pinner" and anytime I have a few minutes to waste, I will pop on there and the time flies for me. Sometimes, way to fast.

Here and there I'll get a like or repin of something I have pinned, but I don't have that many followers, so I don't expect many of those things. 22 weeks ago I saw this post that someone else had posted and it spoke to me in that moment and I thought, just like every other pinner on Pinterest, let me pin that. I saved it to my "Other" board as I wasn't quite sure where else to put it.

I noticed it started getting repins and likes and I read the quote again. I thought that it was a pretty good quote and fit some circumstances. I could see why people would like it. It doesn't have an author, that I can tell, other than maybe it originally came from Tumblr, I am guessing. Sometimes following a pin back to the original is not the easiest thing to do.

It became one of my most repinned and liked post that I have. So far, it has had 521 pins and 126 likes. It fills up my message page with people that it has touched to save or like. That is just my one pin alone, not including everyone else who has pinned it and had it repinned.

I think we all have felt this way at one time or another. maybe with a friend, an ex, a family member, or anyone that was someone. It states; "Don't ask me why I'm treating you cold, I'm not. I just quit trying and expecting. I'm tired of getting my hopes up and being disappointed."

Even reading it again, as I type this, I feel heavy on the word "disappointed". I feel that most people say the first sentence, but don't follow through with the rest even though that is exactly how they feel. I don't think people want to argue about their own personal emotions that they are entitled to feel. When someone asks that question, the gut response is to say "I'm not" and leave it at that without the follow through. If I had to choose why it was so popular, I believe that is why. It says what isn't said most of the time and reading it has closure and an ending.
