Recipe: Crescent Chicken

There is so much that can be made out of crescent rolls. Many recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner are made with them. I had this one chicken morsel in a restaurant that I had to guess on the recipe because they wouldn't divulge it. I think I did pretty good, pretty good indeed.

Some items you will need are almonds, chutney, crescent roll dough, red bell pepper, green onions, curry powder, mayonnaise, cheese, and chicken.

Preheat oven to 350*F.

Combine 1 cup chopped cooked chicken, 1/4 cup sliced almonds, 1/4 cup chopped red bell peppers, 2 tablespoons chopped green onions, 2 tablespoons chutney, 1/2 teaspoon curry powder, 1/3 cup mayonnaise, and 1/2 cup shredded cheese in a bowl and mix well.

Unroll 2 - 12 ounce cans of crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut each rectangle into 8 squares. Place a tablespoon of mixture on each square. Fold corners to enclose filling and press to seal.

Place filled dough on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with a side of rice or yogurt for a perfect meal.
