Recipe: Spicy Wings

I love me some wings. Or, I should say, Wangs! Yes, the kind that makes your tongue slap your brain. Yes, crispy spicy buffalo wings are a favorite. That is one of the foods I will dive in without a fork and go to town. I do eat most of my food with a fork and knife and there are few items I don't eat without said utensils, however, with chicken wings, I will throw down.

Some items needed are chicken drumettes (wings), hot pepper sauce (or hot sauce of choice), Worcestershire sauce, flour, egg, oil, brown sugar, salt, honey, vinegar, and pepper.

Preheat oven to 350° F. Dip chicken wings into 1 egg slightly beaten, then using 1/2 cup flour coat the wings with the flour.

Heat 1/2 cup oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken wings and fry until crisp and browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels and arrange in a medium baking dish.

Combine 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup honey, and 2 tablespoons vinegar in a small bowl and mix well. Stir in 2 tablespoons Worcestershire, 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Pour this mix over the fried chicken.

Bake chicken, while basting occasionally with sauce, and turning the wings over for about 40 minutes. Put wings on a serving platter with dipping sauce or drizzle with more of the same sauce you used for cooking.

Prefer it hotter? Then double the hot sauce or add in a different teaspoon of a different kind of hot sauce for a kick of difference in taste.
