Recipe: Pecan Beef Bites

Whether you say it Pee-Can or P-Kahn, they taste just the same crunchy sweetness as one would expect from this delicious morsel. With Fall arriving and everyone wanting to make pecan pies or add it to any dessert, I have a recipe to add it to a meal. Next time participation calls for a pecan judging contest, try this little surprise and wow the judges.

Some items needed are pecans, ground beef, cream cheese, crescent rolls, garlic, celery salt, and all-spice.

Preheat oven to 350*F.

Cook 1 pound of ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned and add 1 teaspoon of all-spice or any type of mixed spice that works well with beef. Drain beef and place in bowl.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic and 1/2 teaspoon of celery salt and mix.

Add 1/2 cup chopped pecans and 3 ounces of softened cream cheese and mix well.

Separate 2 - 8 ounce packages of crescent rolls into 8 rectangles.

Spoon beef mixture on top of each rectangle and roll each piece of dough to enclose filling. Press each end to seal.

Place roll-ups on un-greased baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown.

Cut each roll into 4's and serve while warm. Delicious!!
