Recipe: Raisin Dip

My mouth is watering just thinking about this dip today. I actually laughed when my saliva glands started up. They know the yumminess I am about to write about and are jumping for joy. One of the things I like about this dip is that it can be kept covered in the refrigerator for up to a week. So many dips seem to expire after a couple days, I've noticed recently.

I'm still going on that Autumn theme of cinnamon and raisins and everything that makes the world go round this time of year. My niece and I drool over this time of year with everything coming out. Yes, we are "those" girls, haha. I was even pleasantly surprised when my dentist let me know September was his favorite month of the year. *High-Five" dentist man, lol.

Some items needed are cinnamon, cream cheese, sour cream, raisins, almonds (or my favorite, pecans), butter, and sugar.

Beat 12 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, 1/2 cup softened butter, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup sour cream in a bowl with an electric mixer set on medium until creamy. This doesn't take long, about a minute.

Stir in 1 1/2 cups of raisins and 1 cup sliced almonds (or 1 cup chopped pecans) and mix well.

Spoon mixture into a serving bowl and place on serving platter with various crackers and fruit.
