Life: Where Have I Been?

Hello all! Man oh man it has been a few couple of months. I hope this finds you all well and happy. I had to get myself better and focus on me and mine for a minute and now I am back.

My back/shoulder blade is doing better. I haven't regained 100% feeling back in my fingers, but pretty close. Every now and then I still feel the area that was damaged. I guess I will for a while. I am extremely careful stretching now, ha! I don't know if I'll ever get another amazing stretch in like that day, because of that stretch. If I even start to get all in it, I stop myself, out of fear.

My amazing hairdresser is married and moved overseas now. I went to another hairdresser at the same place, whom was a level 4, and basically, my hair was destroyed. I switched to another hairdresser, this one was a level 2, at the same place and was just not happy after several months of showing my hair, how it was, and what to do and after many hours of wasting time and money, I decided to leave the hair salon altogether. I now have a new hairdresser. I was driving 40 minutes, now I drive 10 minutes. I was paying about $250 for full everything, now I pay a little over $100. Things tend to work out the way they are supposed to in due time.

Speaking of changes, I totally changed all my doctors this year. I think I have said this before, but can't remember. I have new doctors, dentist, and now a hairdresser. It was a year of change for me. The older you get, you decide some things need to be changed and some can stay the same. Either way, time still moves on and the sun still rises in the morning. It is what we make of it and life is too short to be unhappy. So, I made changes.

The biggest change for me in the past few months is that now I am missing my sidekick. My wonderful handsome doggy baby boy. We have had many animals through the years. Jack Mitchell was my first dog when I moved to Ohio. He's been through my whole experience with me in Ohio.

Ooo, I thought I was ready to write about him, but here come the tears. Let me have just a minute.

He helped welcome all our new cats and dogs to the house and show them the ropes. He was a loving, sweet, protective, and faithful companion. He's seen me through the good and bad times without judgment and had nothing but unconditional love for me. He has seen the passing of his doggy sisters and helped us through those passing's, as well. He was the first to come and the last to go. When you lose a pet family member, each loss is different for different reasons, though all felt equally painful and sorrowful. He was my writing companion and would lay at my feet or in my lap. He loved to hop up in the chair and look out the window. I would run topics by him and read him my drafts. He was most helpful in just listening to me and comforting me.

He has passed the torch on to Molly Corrine, our oldest cat. Whom my husband affectionately calls the white she-devil, Ha! She is learning the ropes. I think she has her own agenda some days, but we are working out the kinks.

That's been what's up! Today is an exciting day for the family. My nephew is expecting his first child, a son, in just a few hours. It's an exciting time and I am blessed to be a part of it all. I love the updates he has been giving and he and his wife are going to be wonderful parents. I am going to be a Great Aunt again, and plan to be the greatest one I can be.
