Cult Militia Pipe Tobacco

The tobacco today is one we looked and looked for and asked several people about it for months. We saw a glimpse of it in a YouTube video and we noticed the cross guns on the front and that is all we could remember. Now, I know what you are thinking, why didn't we just go back to that video we were watching and hit pause and get the name. We thought of that, but we don't keep history, wonk wonk. We typed in several words trying to look for it, but as the video was about the guy's pipe collection and not his tobacco, it was not to be found. We didn't know if it was an aromatic or non-aromatic or if it was even in production anymore. We just wanted it for the logo picture on it.

This part is kind of fuzzy on how we ultimately found it. I can't remember if the egg or the chicken came first. I know my husband was on the forums asking people if they knew what it was and we were still searching the web stores we use for it and I think, I could be wrong, but I think someone in a forum asked him to look at the Cult line and see if that is it. Anyhow, we ended up there and yep, that was it! Now, we own several Cult brands and this is included. We bought one for trying and one for cellaring.

Just like the Lane 1-Q that I mentioned earlier this month, the lid is clear and plastic, which I love. It is such a small detail that really stands out. It is an aromatic with a coarse flake cut of Virginia, Burley, and Black Cavendish. This is a cool-smoking blend with a smooth sweet flavor and a room note to boot; definitely a crowd pleaser. The flavoring is caramel and vanilla and though it is not boring, it doesn't try to be anything special either which is part of its charm. It burns evenly with minimal lights. Flavor tends to give all the way to the end.

We both gave it a 3.5 on a scale to 5. It was pleasant and nostalgic. One that could be taken anywhere without the worry of an unpleasant room note. I see it as a social smoke; kind of like my social whiskey's, you don't mind sharing with others.
